When I was a kid, I remember my mother and grandmother trying to teach me to crochet, sew and knit and I thought, OH, WHAT A BORE! Little did I know that only fifteen years later I was to follow in their footsteps and put these ancient mediums to good use. Now I thank them for trying to change my stubborn ways.

I started Babushka's in the summer of 2002. The line focused mostly on accessories. In January 2009 I had my baby girl, Sofia. Since then, I started experimenting with baby related apparel. I chose to make quilts, onesies, baby shirts and bibs.

Coming from a Visual Arts background, (I am a printmaker) my approach to the fashion garments focuses on the uniqueness, the quality and the style of one item. All the quilts bearing the name Babushka's are one of a kind. The baby apparel is silk screened with original designs.
